Our aim is to build world-class smart police: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has pledged to make Bangladesh Police a world-class ‘Smart Police’ in knowledge, science and technology and urged them to earn the trust and confidence of the people through service. He said, “Our aim is to build a world-class ‘smart police’ that is efficient in knowledge, science and technology. ”
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina spoke at the inauguration of the six-day Police Week 2023 at Rajarbagh Police Lines in the capital on Tuesday (January 3) morning. He inaugurated the Police Week by appearing in person at Rajarbagh Police Lines in the capital.
The Prime Minister congratulated the police and asked them to continue their good work by alleviating people’s fears about them. He said, ‘Ensure that people’s trust in the police is intact. He expressed his hope and said, “According to the plan of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the nation, the police will be the police of the people, not the police of the exploiters.” ‘
The Prime Minister said that our government has already provided a significant number of vehicles to the police force. Arrangements have already been made to purchase 2 helicopters from Russia to increase police mobility to three-dimensional level. A full-fledged aviation unit for the police force is in the process of being formed.
