Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi has passed away. He was 99 years old at the time of his death. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina condoled the death of Heeraben Modi.

This information was confirmed by the Prime Minister’s Press Wing on Friday (December 30) evening.

Earlier on Thursday (December 29), Modi’s mother died at the age of 99 while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Gujarat state. He was ill for a long time.

Confirming the death of his mother, Narendra Modi said in a post on social media that a glorious century rests at the feet of God. He continued, ‘For a glorious century resting at God’s feet, Mother I have always experienced the trinity, which includes the journey of an ascetic and a life committed to the ideals and values of the selfless Karma Yogi.

Modi, who had come to the state of West Bengal to inaugurate some projects, rushed to Gujarat after hearing the news of his mother’s death. Prime Minister Modi met his mother for the last time at her home during the assembly elections in Gujarat on December 4.

Heeraben lived with Modi’s younger brother and family. On his death, the country’s political figures as well as ministers are mourning one by one on social media. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata also expressed condolences.
