The leaders of Bangladesh Jasdar said that the elections of December 30, 2018 have pushed the country towards darkness. The government is now hostage to the makers of that election. The country now runs by their will. Both sovereignty and economy are now under threat.
They said these things in front of the National Press Club on Friday in a rally organized to observe the election day of the 11th National Parliament as Kalank Diwas.
Bangladesh Jasdar General Secretary Nazmul Haque Pradhan said that the farce election of 2018 has destroyed democracy, hammered the nail in the chest of democracy. I hope that the government will not make the same mistakes as in the past. Will take the initiative of an election acceptable to all by discussing with everyone. But listening to the statements of the responsible leaders of the government, it does not seem that they have learned any lessons from the past. So call on the government not to try to drive the nail in the chest of democracy. The people of this country will not accept elections like 2018. There is still time, talk to everyone and find a solution. Otherwise you will have to take responsibility for the situation that arises.
At the end of the rally, the leaders and workers of the party held a protest march. Permanent committee members Karim Sikder, Abdul Quader Howlader, Badal Khan, Information and Research Affairs Secretary Engineer Ashfakur Rahman Sabuj and others were present.
