The police have filed a charge sheet against three persons, including assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Pallabi police station Mahbubul Alam, who were caught with drugs in the pocket of a pedestrian. The other two accused in the charge sheet are-Mo. Rubel and Md. Sohail Rana.

On Wednesday (December 28), sub-inspector of the general registration branch of the Cantonment police station. Shahjahan Ali informed about the charge sheet. He said, Deputy Inspector of Cantonment Police Station submitted the charge sheet on December 26 in Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain’s court. Anwar Hossain.

The court saw the charge sheet that day. The document has been sent to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) of Dhaka for further proceedings. The CMM will later order the transfer of the case.

According to the source of the case, the accused took the Yabar packet from a source including ASI Mahbubul Alam and put it in the pocket of a pedestrian named Khalilur Rahman. In this incident, the police filed a drug case against the pedestrian at Pallabi police station. Later, the video of the drug being put into the pedestrian’s pocket was aired on a private television channel.

Later, on September 7, sub-inspector Khalid Hasan Tanmoy of Pallabi police station filed a case under the Narcotics Control Act against three people including ASI Mahbubul Alam in the capital’s Cantonment police station. In this case, three accused were remanded for two days. They are currently on bail.
