Muhtamim Maulana Muzahirul Haque (R.H.), the father of eminent journalist and columnist Ehsan Bin Muzahir, founder of Sytula Islamia Arabia Imdadul Uloom Madrasa, in Srimangal, Moulvibazar, is no more. (Innalillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun) He died on Tuesday at 3 o’clock at North East Medical College Hospital in Sylhet.

Funeral prayers of the deceased were offered at Baitul Aman Jame Masjid in Bad Johar town area on Wednesday. The funeral was attended by prominent people of the city including journalists. Later he was buried in the graveyard adjacent to the BGB camp.
Maulana Mujahirul Haque (R.H.) completed Dawarae Hadith with merit in 1391 Hijri from Karachi Madrasa and started teaching at Raidhar Madrasa in Habiganj. In the 1980s he established the Islamia Arabia Imdadul Uloom Madrasa in Saitula area of Srimangal and held the position of Muhtamim (Principal) of the Madrasa with distinction for nearly three years. For a long time, he was engaged in various religious services in addition to the service of the madrasa.
