Shamshernagar air force 50th training parade held

The 50th training parade of Bangladesh Air Force’s new air force (November 29) was held at the Recruits Training School (RTS) located at Bangladesh Air Force Station Shamshernagar in Kamalganj Upazila of Moulvibazar on Tuesday at 10 am.

Air Chief Marshal Sheikh Abdul Hannan, Chief of Bangladesh Air Force, BUP, NSWC, FAWC, PSC attended as the chief guest and inspected the beautiful parade and took salute of the attractive march past. He then distributed the trophy to Kriti Recruit.
In his speech, Air Force Chief said that in order to fulfill the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Muijbur Rahman, under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the air force has already been equipped with modern fighter aircraft, transport aircraft, helicopters, various types of high-powered radar missiles and important equipment. Bangladesh Air Force Academy has been built at Bangabandhu Complex to ensure better and up-to-date training for the future generation of Air Force and International Standard Air Force Training Institute has been constructed to provide skilled manpower. The Air Force Chief urged the recruits to work with honesty, concentration and dedication to develop themselves as airmen worthy of the Air Force. He expressed the hope that they would be motivated by genuine patriotism and actively contribute to the implementation of the firm commitment to keep Bengal’s skies free.
Through this parade, 436 recruits, including 417 men and 19 women, joined the Bangladesh Air Force after successfully completing a total of 252 days of rigorous training. AC 2 Recruit Corporal Md Tanveen Alam Zidan was adjudged the best recruit for overall achievement and AC 2 Recruit Sergeant Md Kamruzzaman was adjudged the best recruit in Education and General Service Training respectively.
Earlier, when the Chief of Air Force arrived at the parade ground, he was welcomed by Air Commander of Air Force Base Bashar Air Vice Marshal Md Zahidur Rahman BBP, BSP, GUP, NSWBC, PSC and Commander of Recruits Training School Air Commodore Mohammad Saifuddin, GUP, PSC.

Among others, senior officials of the Bangladesh Air Force and local military and civilian dignitaries were present on the occasion.
