Two school students killed in road accident in Jaintapur

Two school students were killed in a road accident in Sylhet’s Jaintapur. Another person was seriously injured in this incident.
The accident took place on Friday (November 18) around 9:30 am in Assampara Adarshagram area of Sylhet-Tamabil highway.
The deceased are Sakran Hasan (14), son of businessman Abdul Ahad of Chailakhel Jaflong Basti of Goainghat Upazila and son of Akbar Ali, a resident of the same area. Shaheen Ahmad (14). The two are said to be Class IX students of Jaflong Amir Mia High School. Md. Shaheen Ahmad died after being taken to Osmani in critical condition. Later, Sakran Hasan also died while undergoing treatment on Friday night around 7:30 pm.
It is reported that two school students who were killed were on their way from Jaflong to Jaintapur and another injured young motorcyclist was over-tracking a truck in Assampara while on the way from Jaintapur to Jaflong. 3 motorcyclists were seriously injured. Later local people rescued them and first took them to Jaintapur Hospital. They were sent to Sylhet Siomek Hospital as their condition was critical there. After being taken to Osmani. Shaheen Ahmad died. Later Sakran Hasan also died while undergoing treatment at around 7:30 pm. Another seriously injured person is Mamun Ahmad (20), son of Nabu Mia of Jashpur village of Jaintapur Nijpat Union, who is fighting with death.
Tamabil Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Kabir confirmed the truth of this accident. He said – We visited the scene after receiving the news of the accident. He also said that two motorcycles due to the accident have been seized.
