Srimangal’s green taju made the sculpture to gift the Prime Minister

Sabuj Tju, a day laborer, is happy to get a gift house from the Prime Minister at Srimangal in Moulvibazar. Sabuj Tju, a young man from Harinchhara, a small ethnic group in Srimangal Upazila, is making a sculpture for the Prime Minister by collecting tree dust. Many visitors are visiting the Prime Minister’s house every day to see this sculpture.
Day laborer Sabuj Tju, a small-town resident of the bordering Harinchhara tea plantation, has been adept at making kurti handicrafts since childhood. Painting is also his hobby.

It is known that the Upazila Nirbahi Officer gave him a house on behalf of the Prime Minister after getting the information through Tajul Islam, the coordinator of Srimangal Upazila Micro-Nri Goshti. The joy of the Tju family knows no bounds when they get the house as a gift from the Prime Minister. Sabuj Tzu then told the Upazila Nirbahi Officer to present a sculpture of him to the Prime Minister and the Upazila Nirbahi Officer encouraged him and also gifted him a picture of the Prime Minister. Sabuj saw this picture and created a beautiful sculpture of the Prime Minister.
Sabuj Tzu said that he carved a tree for about one and a half months and made a perfect sculpture of the prime minister smiling 43 inches tall. He said that in the face of this sculpture, he has shown the impression of the Prime Minister’s world leadership. A place of trust of the people of the country. Faced with all the adversities, it gave the message of relief and peace to the people of the country.
Puravi Richil, the wife of Sabuj Tju, said that they did not even think that they would rise from the broken house to a solid house. He is a worker in Harin Rima tea plantation. Her husband has no permanent job. Sometimes they have been making a living by painting people’s houses, repairing houses and working as laborers in lemon orchards. They have two sons and one daughter. Boys and girls are studying in Dhaka and Srimangal.

Sabuj Tzu said that they discussed this matter with the Upazila Nirbahi Officer. Upazila Nirbahi Officer encouraged him. He was happy and helped him with two thousand rupees. He also gave a picture of the Prime Minister. Sabuj Tzu is not only a sculpture of the Prime Minister, but also a symbol of rural traditions, including fishing with wood, tea leaf cotton, grass cutting, betel nut cultivation, baby birds hatching from eggs, zebras, rhinos, deer, tea maidens, Bangabandhu, Loknath Brahmachari and Maria Maria. Made various small sculptures. But you can’t do it regularly due to the tension of the world. He does it in between work.

Tajul Islam, coordinator of Srimangal Upazila Small People’s Group, said that while doing the work of the small people’s group, he noticed a lot of skill in making various items of cottage industry. He saw many small things made by him and informed the upazila executive officer. The Upazila Nirbahi officer came and stood beside him. He was gifted the Prime Minister’s house.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun said Sabuj Tju has a unique talent. We have collected various items including tea kanya made by him. His dexterity is amazing. He said that he has a financial crisis. He had been living in a precarious mud house with his family. Considering his condition, he gifted him a house of the Prime Minister. The housework has already been completed.

In this regard, Moulvibazar District Commissioner Mir Nahid Ahsan said that people love Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a symbol of our dependence, to the core. The green date sculpture is a sign of it. He said, even if the thing is small, there is no lack of love in it. He will discuss with the higher authorities about the issue of the sculpture made by him and arrange to send it to the Prime Minister.
