Statements made by Warsaw and Kyiv blaming Russia for the missile launch in Poland are likely to directly trigger the Russia-NATO conflict. Such comments were made by Russia’s UN envoy Vassily Nebenzia.

Vasily Nebenzia said this at the meeting of the United Nations Security Council after the statements of Poland and Ukraine on Wednesday.

If the climate conference had not happened, he said, the meeting would have been called to discuss efforts by Ukraine and Poland to prevent direct conflict between Russia and NATO. The statements given by the leadership of these two countries can be said to be completely irresponsible.

Nebenzia said that shortly after the explosions in Poland, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky blamed Russia for the attack. This statement was made by a person who could not fail to report that it was a Ukrainian missile fired by an air defense system.

The ambassador said that the first photos from the scene of the explosion, which appeared on social media, made it clear that it was a Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile that fell in Poland.
