Clash between two sides over bill in Jaintapur, 50 injured

In Jaintapur, Sylhet, two sides clashed over the Chotari Sengram bill. At least 50 people from both sides were injured.
On Tuesday (November 15) at around 9 am, the clash took place between Khaliq and Hanif’s factions of Chotari Sengram over a bill.
According to local sources, around 9 am, there was an argument between Khaliq and Hanif over the bill. At one stage, the people on their side clashed with each other. At least 50 people were injured on both sides. Many of the injured have been admitted to Jaintapur Upazila Health Complex.
A team of Jaintapur Model Thana Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Till the time of writing this report (3 pm) situation is prevailing at the spot and police are deployed. It is said that both parties are preparing to file a case at the Kheke police station in the incident.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jaintapur Model Police Station Golam Dastgir Ahmad said that after receiving the news of the clash, the police team quickly reached the spot and calmed down the situation with the help of the UP Chairman and local counselors. The seriously injured have been admitted to the health complex. No party has filed a written complaint so far. If complaint is received, legal action will be taken after investigation.
