Sylhet District BNP President Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury said that the people of the country are saddened by the oppression of the Awami League government. Due to the government’s arbitrariness and rampant looting, the country is in a crisis of stability today. Due to the shortage of reserves in the country, imports are stopping. The people of the country have united in the program of BNP. Due to which millions of people are gathering in every section. Seeing the mass gatherings across the country, the government has started a conspiracy against the mass gatherings in Sylhet. No conspiracy will be able to stop the mass gathering in Sylhet on November 19.

He said these things while addressing the chief guest at Kanighat upazila headquarters of Sylhet on Sunday afternoon at the campaign march, mass communication, distribution of leaflets and exchange of views to make the Sylhet divisional mass meeting a success on November 19 at the initiative of upazila and municipal BNP. He also said that the ongoing democratic movement of BNP has turned into a national movement at this transitional stage of the country. The people of the country are helpless. This fascist government should be overthrown and a people’s government should be established in the country through free and fair elections under a non-partisan neutral government.

Kanighat Upazila BNP president Mamunur Rashid presided over by the chairman and general secretary Shariful Haque and municipal BNP general secretary Nazrul Islam attended the program as the main speaker – Sylhet district BNP general secretary Advocate Emran Ahmad Chowdhury.

In the speech of the main speaker, Sylhet District BNP General Secretary Advocate Emran Ahmad Chowdhury said that there is no other way but to speed up the ongoing movement against this government. The people have shown how to fight and make the rally a success. Here the involvement of people is much more than our employees. This government can no longer survive. They have no moral foundation. Today our task is to fulfill our respective responsibilities. We can unequivocally say that this ongoing movement must be accelerated. Therefore, the mass meeting on November 19 should be successful. District BNP leader Abul Kahir Chowdhury, Ashiq Uddin Chowdhury, Mamunur Rashid Mamun, Advocate Hasan Ahmad Patwari Ripon, Kamrul Hasan Shaheen, Abdul Latif, Municipal BNP President Nurul Islam Bulbul, Advocate Abu Taher, Akhtar Hossain Raju spoke and were present.
