BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that people’s backs are against the wall. They started turning around, turning around. People are coming forward for change. That’s why people came to the assembly in Barisal, Chittagong, Khulna, Mymensingh ignoring all obstacles. Everything was stopped before the rally in Barisal. People swam across the river, sleeping under the open sky for two consecutive nights. He said, seeing this, I am more motivated in these departmental gatherings. The belief is born in us – people desire change, they want change.
Mirza Fakhrul said these things at the discussion meeting titled ‘Simultaneous Movement and Democratic Transformation of the State’ at the National Press Club on Sunday. Addressing the government, he said, BNP could not be suppressed by so many lawsuits, could not be calmed down. How many words, broken knees, broken bones; Said a lot. So if so why are you so nervous, why so much fear? And saying, ‘I will not run away, I will go to jail’. Then he started thinking about going to jail. That should have been understood. There’s still time – come out of the locked room.
Regarding the simultaneous movement, he said, I want to move simultaneously with the patriotic political parties. This is our firm decision.
In the president’s speech, the president of Nagrik Oikya Mahmudur Rahman Manna said that it is understood from various gatherings that there has been a mass coup in the country. The whole situation has changed now. Now there is no more cloak of fear.
