Government that usurped democracy could not stop the flow of people by stopping transport: Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that common people have woken up against the looting of the illegal government last night. Mass gatherings in Rangpur, Khulna and Mymensingh are proof of that.
The democracy usurping government could not stop the flow of people by stopping the transport. The BNP and the people will not return home until this fascist government leaves power and elections are held under a caretaker government.
He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the Bogra district BNP conference on Wednesday.
He said that five people lost their lives in protest against rising commodity prices, looting and the ongoing movement to protect democracy. 600 BNP activists have gone missing. False cases have been filed against 35 lakh activists.
Mirza Fakhrul said, even if the Awami League came to power, the footsteps of famine could be heard. In the past, the people who died without food, the same situation is going to be created in the future. BNP has saved the country and the people during various crises. People are still waiting for BNP with confidence.
The conference started at 10 am in the Titu Auditorium of Bogra City under the chairmanship of Advocate AKM Saiful Islam, convener of the conference management committee. At 11:30 am, the party’s general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir arrived at the conference venue. The conference was started with the performance of national and party anthems. Later, party standing committee member and former minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku inaugurated the conference by flying balloons and pigeons. He was the special guest.
BNP Rajshahi Divisional Co-Organizing Secretary Obaidur Rahman Chandan, Khaleda Zia’s advisor former Member of Parliament Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu, Advocate AKM Mahbur Rahman, Bogra-6 Sadar Constituency MP Golam Mohammad Siraj, Member Secretary of Conference Management Committee and Bogra-4 Constituency MP also spoke. Mosharraf Hossain, district women’s party president Lovely Rahman, Ahsanul Taiyab Zakir, Shahidul Islam Bablu, Maftun Ahmed Rubel, Tauhidul Alam Mamun and others.
Tariq Rahman participated in the conference and spoke through video conference from London.
Voting was held in the 2nd session of the conference. 3 candidates for president post, 2 general secretary posts and 11 candidates for 3 organizational posts. 2 thousand 222 councilors of Trinamool of the party voted in 57 booths.
