People are not with BNP: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has commented that no matter how much the BNP jumps, the people are not with them. He said this at the meeting of Dhaka district Awami League on Saturday. The conference was inaugurated at the Agargaon Sherbangla Nagar old trade fair ground in the capital.

Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, “We can hear whether BNP has formed a cabinet.” But I don’t know how it did it. No matter how many leaps BNP makes, the people are not with them. People of the country are with Awami League. Therefore, the people of the country will vote for Sheikh Hasina and elect her as the prime minister again.

Addressing the activists, he said, ‘We will continue united. If we are united, we can elect Sheikh Hasina as the prime minister again.’

Addressing the BNP, the minister said, “If anyone creates anarchy in the country, we will speak unitedly against them.”

Kamal said, “Due to the war between Ukraine and Russia, the energy crisis and commodity prices have increased all over the world. Commodity prices have also increased in Bangladesh. Russia’s war in Ukraine has led to power shortages. I hope this crisis will go away in the month of December.

Awami League Joint General Secretary Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said, ‘People of this country want peace, children also want peace, that is the way Bangladesh is moving forward under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. A global crisis has emerged around the world. There is an unrest going on all over the world. Now the people of the whole world are in financial crisis compared to that the people of Bangladesh are relieved. Then people are suffering. We know that this suffering is temporary, so temporary suffering must be faced together.

Criticizing BNP, the Awami League leader said, ‘BNP is starting a conspiracy again. The weakness called BNP will be dealt with along with the people of the country. For this, Awami League leaders and activists must be united.

Dhaka District Awami League President Benazir Ahmed presided over the meeting by Advocate Kamrul Islam, Member of Parliament of Dhaka-2 Constituency. Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader is present as the chief guest in the conference.

Dhaka-1 Constituency Member of Parliament Salman Fazlur Rahman is present as the special speaker of the conference. Apart from this, Awami League presidium member Abdur Razzak, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, joint general secretary Dr. Dipu Moni, AFM Bahauddin Nashim, Organizing Secretary Mirza Azam, Forest Environment Affairs Secretary Delwar Hossain, Women Affairs Secretary Meher Afroz Chumki, Legal Affairs Secretary Najibullah Hiru, Central Executive Member ABM Riazul Kabir Kawshar and many others.
