On Monday, BNP MP candidate M Akbar Ali in Sirajganj-4 Ullapara constituency held his last election rally and appealed to all present to vote for him with his paddy symbol. He said, this is my last election.

I may not be able to vote again in my life. I have been elected as a BNP MP from this constituency twice and have made visible progress in education, health and communication.

I have nothing more to ask for. If elected, I want to selflessly serve the people of Ullapara. Akbar Ali himself presided over this rally organized by Ullapara Upazila BNP.

Although BNP Standing Committee member Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku was supposed to be present as the chief guest at the rally, he did not attend.

Moderated by Central Chhatra Dal Joint General Secretary Kawsar Ahmed Rony, the chief guest was BNP Rajshahi Divisional Organization Organizing Secretary Adv. Shahin Shawkat, while Sirajganj District BNP General Secretary Saidur Rahman Bachchu, BNP National Executive Committee member Adv. Simki Imam, former DIG Khan Sayeed Hasan Jyoti, former Ullapara Municipality Mayor Belal Hossain, former Upazila BNP Joint Convener Helal Sarkar, Shafiul Momen Shafi and Zahidul Islam Mister.

Chief guest Adv. Shahin Shawkat said in his speech that Jamaat Ameer Shafiqur Rahman had proposed to BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman to run the country by sharing power. But Tarique Rahman did not agree to it.

The reason is that BNP has run the country efficiently after being in power three times under the leadership of Begum Khaleda Zia. BNP has the ability to run the state. Therefore, BNP has no opportunity to run the state by sharing power. If elected, BNP will form the government alone.
