Claims at the press conference; BNP is not involved in Maya Chowdhury’s house fire incident

The local leaders of the party claimed that no one from BNP was involved in the attack and setting fire to the house of Awami League presidium member and former minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Mayer in Matlab Uttar Upazila of Chandpur.
They made this demand in a press conference on behalf of union BNP and organization at Mohanpur Union Jubo Dal office on Tuesday (November 19) afternoon.
Miscreants vandalized, looted and set fire to Maya Chowdhury’s house in Mohanpur last Saturday (November 16). In this incident. Sipan Mia filed a case in Matlab North Police Station accusing 41 people as plaintiff and 70/80 people as unknown. Case number 24. In view of the case, police arrested 6 accused and sent them to Chandpur court.
Nuruzzaman Nipu, general secretary of Mohanpur Union BNP, said in a written statement that last Saturday, November 16, someone set fire to the house of Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya in the dark of night. We strongly condemn this incident. No leader or worker of Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP and allied organizations have been arrested in connection with the fire incident. We demand maximum punishment for the culprits involved in this fire incident through fair investigation to the administration. I strongly request the administration so that no innocent person is harassed.
