Another 20 people have died due to dengue in the country. This information was informed in the notification sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Thursday.

With this, 691 people died of dengue this year. Among them, 98 people died in the first week of this month alone.

According to the notification, 11 people died in Dhaka and 9 people outside Dhaka due to dengue in the last 24 hours (from 8 am yesterday Wednesday morning to 8 am today Thursday morning). At this time, 2 thousand 689 people were admitted to the hospital with dengue. Among them, 899 new patients were admitted in different hospitals in Dhaka and 1 thousand 790 in hospitals outside Dhaka.

A total of 1 lakh 40 thousand 711 people were admitted to the hospital with dengue this year. Among them, 64 thousand 172 are in different hospitals in Dhaka and 76 thousand 539 are outside Dhaka.

Last year, 281 people died due to dengue in the country. This year has already surpassed that record. Apart from this, 179 people died in dengue in 2019. 7 people died in 2020 and 105 people died of dengue in 2021.
