Demonstration on 4-point demand including election under non-party government in Sylhet

The Left Democratic Alliance held a protest rally in Sylhet, ignoring the rain, demanding 4-point demands, including immediate dissolution of the parliament and resignation of the Awami government, elections under a non-partisan supervision government.

On the initiative of Left Democratic Alliance, Sylhet District, a demonstration was held at Sylhet City Corporation Point on Thursday, August 24 at 5:30 PM.

Among the 4-point demands, there is an end to corruption, misrule, communal terrorism and fascist rule, reduction in prices of daily commodities including gas, electricity, rice and pulses, repeal of the proposed Cyber Security Act 2023.

Left Democratic Alliance Sylhet district coordinator and CPB district general secretary Khairul Hasan in the chair and BASD (Marxist) member Sanjay Kanti Das addressed the rally- CPB Sylhet district president Syed Farhad Hossain, BASD (Marxist) Sylhet district convener Comrade Ujjal Roy, BASD Sylhet. District Convener Comrade Abu Zafar, Revolutionary Communist League District President Comrade Siraj Ahmad, CPB Sylhet District Member Advocate Anwar Hossain Sumon, Basad Sylhet District Member Secretary Pranab Jyoti Pal, Revolutionary Communist League Sylhet District General Secretary Haridhan Das, CPB District Committee Member Tuhin Dhar. , Tutul Chowdhury, Niranjan Das Khokon, Basad Marxist leader Mukhleshur Rahman etc.

Speakers in the rally said that the 12th National Assembly election should be dissolved immediately and held under a non-partisan supervision government.

The leaders called for building mass movement of Durbar on 4 demands from the gathering.

On the initiative of the Left Democratic Alliance Sylhet district (24-30) August as a series of programs to observe the ‘Demand week’, a protest march will be held from Sylhet central Shaheed at 5 pm on Saturday. Press release
