OC Shyamal Chandra Dhar asked to vote on the boat symbol!

Claiming Awami League as his party, Dewanganj Model Police Station OC Shyamal Chandra Dhar wanted to vote in the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections with the boat symbol. He is being severely criticized on social media. In response, he said that he gave this statement as a former Chhatra League leader.
On the occasion of the National Mourning Day, he gave this speech on the microphone at the discussion meeting on August 15. Its video is now viral on social media. He made this speech at the distribution of food among the needy and doa maffil organized by Dewanganj municipality. Municipal Mayor Sheikh Mohammad Nurunnabi Apu presided over the event at Dewanganj Municipal Ground and Member of Parliament Abul Kalam Azad was also present.
On the occasion, OC Shyamal Chandra referred to MP Azad as the leader of the soil and the people and the jewel of the eye. At the end of his speech, the OC said, ‘You should be careful from Kuchkri Mahal and keep a watchful eye. Twelfth National Assembly election ahead. May we make the Awami League victorious again in the next election.
In response to the questions of the journalists about this, the OC said that he has played the politics of the Chhatra League. On that occasion, he asked for votes to make Awami League the winner. There is nothing wrong with that.
He said, “I am close to Awami League in my personal life but I am vocal and protest against injustice in my professional life. I am a policeman. Above all, I am doing my duty with respect for the law. I do not condone any kind of bias.
OC Shyamal is a resident of Netrakona’s Kendua police station. He was appointed as SI in 2001. He joined Dewanganj Model Police Station as OC in July last year.
Additional Superintendent of Police of Dewanganj Circle Suman Kanti Chowdhury said that he does not know anything about this statement of OC Shyamal.
