On the occasion of the 48th martyrdom anniversary and National Mourning Day of the greatest Bengali of all time, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Goainghat Upazila of Sylhet Awami League and allied organizations have organized Koran Khatam, Milad Mahfil, discussion meeting and prayer.

Yesterday Friday (August 18) at Goainghat Upazila Model Mosque, Khatam, Milad Mahfil and Monajat were held in the said Quran.

The minister said that one of the characteristics of the family members of the Father of the Nation was moderation of behavior, gentleness, modesty, kindness, bravery and infinite respect for people. He also highlighted the history of how the father of the nation’s call to the Bengali nation to jump into the liberation war hypnotized the young officer of that time.

He urged the party leaders and workers to work more dedicatedly to sustain the development and progress of Bangladesh under the leadership of the Prime Minister.

In addition, he presented the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with various memories of the Bangabandhu family, especially Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Minister Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatun highlighted Mujib’s kindness, hospitality and party management while Bangabandhu was in jail.

In the speech of the main speaker, Sylhet District Awami League General Secretary and Sylhet District Parishad Chairman Advocate Nasir Uddin Khan said, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has given us the spirit of nationalism.

He insulted the murderers and said, Why could we not save Bangabandhu? He mentioned that there has been false propaganda about Bangabandhu to mislead people. It is not true that the father of the nation pardoned the Razakars. Bangabandhu made tribunals to bring to justice those who committed murder, rape, arson and inhumane acts. The veteran leader of Awami League presented the researched information about how Bangabandhu created this nation state called Bangladesh.
