BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir commented that the Center Awami League has started a new game in the twelfth election. ‘The government and the Election Commission have registered two new parties, which no one knows. Because this Awami League government wants to play election game with this party. But this time that game will not be allowed to play.’

The general secretary of the party, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the mass rally organized by Dhaka North BNP on Friday as part of a one-phase movement to bring down the government.

Addressing the activists, he said, ‘This time you have to fight to the death. We have to move forward, we will not stop without demanding.’

He said to the government, ‘You can’t suppress it with fear, jail and oppression. This fascism will be defeated only through a united movement.’

Mirza Fakhrul called for spreading the movement and said that the demand for Sheikh Hasina’s resignation should reach Ganobhaban and Bangabhaban. Awami League wants to come back to power like in 2014 and 2018 through conspiracy. This time the people will not let it happen.

Claiming that BNP leaders and activists are being jailed using the judicial department, Mirza Fakhrul said that no matter how much torture, firing, tear-shells are thrown, the movement cannot be stopped. People will get their demands now.

Demanding the abolition of the Election Commission and elections under a non-partisan government, he said, the government should resign, parliament should be dissolved, there will be no elections under Sheikh Hasina.

Meanwhile, ignoring the rain, the leaders and activists from different areas started gathering in the mass procession. They said, our mass demand from today’s rally is only one – resignation of the current government and elections under a non-partisan neutral government.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir led the rally. BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and others also participated.

BNP Chairperson’s advisor and Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP convener Aman Ullah Aman is in charge of coordinating the rally. Dhaka Metropolitan North Member Secretary Aminul Haque is also present.

Meanwhile, Mirza Abbas, a member of the BNP’s standing committee, gave a speech as the chief guest at the rally organized by Dhaka Metropolitan South.
