In the last 24 hours, 9 more people have died due to dengue fever in the country. With this, the number of people who died due to dengue this year stood at 373.

During this time, 2 thousand 46 people were newly admitted to the hospital due to dengue infection. A total of 80 thousand 74 people have been infected with dengue since January 1 of this year.

This information was informed in the dengue report of the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Wednesday.

Earlier on Thursday, 2,959 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue fever in 24 hours, which is the highest in a single day this year.

According to the Department of Health, 2 thousand 46 people were admitted to different public and private hospitals of the country due to dengue from 8 am on Thursday to 8 am on Friday. Among them, 853 are residents of Dhaka and 1,193 are outside Dhaka.

40 thousand 764 residents of Dhaka are among dengue victims this year. 39 thousand 310 people were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka. At the same time, 70 thousand 26 people were discharged from the hospital. Among them, 36 thousand 54 people live in Dhaka and 33 thousand 972 people outside Dhaka.
