A new type of coronavirus has been identified in the United States. American scientists have given the code name of this new type of corona Easy.5. According to the relevant authorities of the United States, about 17 percent of those who are newly diagnosed with corona are infected with the new type.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), XBB.1.16 has been the most common type of infection detected so far. However, in current infections this type has been surpassed by the newly identified Eg.5. While 16 percent were infected with XBB.1.16, it was 17 percent with EG.5.

However, the newly identified Easy.5 is not a brand new type. Like the XBB type, it is essentially a type of the Amicron ‘family’. The newly identified type of micron will not cause as great a change in infection as the original type, but is part of a gradual change in the virus.

Compared to the original strain of the virus, XBB.1.9.2, it has an additional mutation in its spike. However, this type of mutation has been seen in other types before. However, scientists are not sure how this change may affect the transmission of the virus
