Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said Bangladesh has a constitution. Bangladesh is running according to the constitution and all the elections we have, including the upcoming elections, will be according to the constitution. If someone raises any demand outside the constitution, there is no reason to accept it. The next election will be according to the constitution.
He said these things in response to questions from journalists at an event in Munshiganj’s Dhalagao area around 9:30 pm on Friday.
The Home Minister said, ‘BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami want to create chaos because they are isolated from the people. People don’t want them. Awami League came to power with a landslide victory in the last election. Knowing that the victory of Awami League is certain in the next election, they are trying to spoil the election environment.’
Later he inaugurated the shrine of Mohammad Saidur Rahman Chishti Sayedabadi’s mother.
Munshiganj-3 Constituency Member of Parliament Advocate Mrinal Kanti Das, Bangladesh Police Dhaka Range DIG Syed Nurul Islam and Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman Al-Mamun and others were present.
