President Mohammed Shahabuddin has urged the university authorities to increase the extra-curricular activities to develop the inner potentialities of the students.He made the suggestion when Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Hafiza Khatun paid a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban today. President’s Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin briefed the newsmen after the meeting. The President, also chancellor of the university, stressed on the research activities in the university. “There is no alternative to research to ensure the quality higher education,” said  the Head of State. President Shahabuddin directed the university authorities to introduce a time-befitting curriculum so that every student can sustain in the competitive world. During the meeting, the President was apprised by the VC, in detail, about the overall situation of the university, especially in terms of infrastructure and academic activities. She informed the President that the university authorities have taken appropriate steps to resolve the session-jam caused by the COVID-19. Meanwhile, the President assured the VC of resolving various problems of Pabna University. Secretaries concerned to Bangabhaban were present there.
