3 days have passed since the incident of torture of students of Habiganj Brindavan Government College. But the investigation report was not submitted. Meanwhile, the guard Roman Mia (30) is claiming his innocence through video communication with the media. Her statement: She was suspended only on her boyfriend’s complaint without any complaint from the victim or her family. He ruled by detaining the student and her boyfriend for obscenity. According to him, they conspired to make the girl’s boyfriend guilty before proving the crime.

Meanwhile, there are many controversies about the past activities of Guard Roman. Students complain that he often misbehaves with them.

According to a well-informed source, the investigation report of this incident may be submitted today or tomorrow.

It is known that on July 10, the female student was staying in a room with another classmate on the third floor of the newly constructed five-story examination hall of the college. At that time the Honors fourth year examination was going on there. Roman Mia, the on-duty security guard, separated the male student from the female student, taking advantage of the limited public movement in the building. The female student was kept in a room for 1 hour. After coming out from there, the female student told her classmate that she was raped by Roman Mia. The next day, on July 11, the same student informed another student named Shaon, who is studying in the third year of honors in the same college. Different names and addresses of those two students were found but it was not published in the news.

On July 12, Shawn discussed the matter with his classmates and acquaintances. According to the collective decision, when a teacher of the Bengali department of the college was consulted about this, he advised the victim to file a complaint with the college authorities and assured all kinds of cooperation in this regard.

The victim could not file a complaint on 12th due to fear of social harassment and being very mentally disturbed. During this time some other students talked to him and recorded his statement and assured that action will be taken on this incident while keeping his identity secret.

As the allegations of torture and rape came to light on Thursday, July 13, several students of the college arrested the accused security guard and took him to the principal’s office through good means.

Later, the classmate of the female student complained about this directly to the principal of Brindavan Government College. At that time, in the wake of the interrogation, Roman admitted to the detention of those students. As a result, he was temporarily suspended from the security guard. However, a source said, often some guards in the academic building allow students to socialize in exchange for tea, cigarettes and drinks. That is why such an incident may have happened.

Accused Roman said that on that day, Honors 3rd year student and student were found in an offensive condition inside the room. When they were asked to leave, the student got angry. Roman slaps him. But the allegation of torturing the student is not correct.

The college principal said that the students detained Roman. They were later suspended based on their complaint and Roman’s confession. Final action will be taken after the report.
