Dhaka/

BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu commented that the Awami League government will be forced to resign within the next two months.

He made this comment at a protest rally organized by Bangladesh Youth Forum in front of the National Press Club in the capital on Saturday demanding the execution of the killers of journalist Gholam Rabbani Nadeem.

Shamsuzzaman Dudu said, this Awami League government is an authoritarian government. Unwritten has established Bakshal in the country. Turned the police into a guard force. Taking control of the administration, they are doing whatever they want. How the government of any country can loot the country’s money like this cannot be understood without looking at Bangladesh.

He said that there is a severe political crisis in the country. Begum Khaleda Zia, the country’s leader, has been imprisoned for political revenge. He re-established democracy. He brought down the dictator Ershad. He was eating rice at the rate of 16 taka. And before Sheikh Hasina came to power, she said that she would feed rice for 10 taka per kg and give jobs from house to house. He has not kept his promise but is forcing the people of the country to eat one meal instead of three meals. BNP Acting Chairman Tariq Rahman has been exiled.

Dudu also said that the people of the country have woken up against the corruption and misrule of the illegal government. The government will be forced to resign by creating an intense mass movement within a month or two. Democracy will be restored.

He said that the government would be wrong to think that the truth can be hidden only by killing journalists. Journalists are working for justice in the way of truth. BNP has always been and will always stand by journalists. I demand justice for the killing and torture of all journalists.

President of Bangladesh Youth Forum Muhammad Saidur Rahman said that there is no security in anyone’s life during the current government. Journalists are not safe. Government has closed 400 newspapers including daily Dinkal. Democracy and Awami League do not go together. The government should be dragged down.

At that time, he demanded the arrest of the killers of journalist Ghulam Rabbani Nadeem and exemplary punishment and compensation to his family.

Advisor to BNP Chairperson Habibur Rahman Habib, Secretary General of Jatiya Party Ahsan Habib Lincoln, BNP Assistant Secretary for Information and Research Affairs and Journalist Leader Quader Chowdhury, BNP Assistant Education Affairs Secretary Nilufar Chowdhury Moni among others spoke in the rally.
