The price of bottled soybean oil has been reduced by Tk 10 to Tk 189 per litre. Besides, open oil has been reduced by Tk 9 to Tk 167 and palm oil has been reduced by Tk 2 to Tk 133.

Tapan Kanti Ghosh, senior secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, told reporters this information at the secretariat on Sunday.

The senior secretary said that this price is effective from Sunday.

He also said that the price of soybean and palm oil may decrease further before Eid-ul-Azha. Besides, Tapan Kanti Ghosh said that if the price is stable in the international market, the price of sugar may also decrease.
