Rais Uddin’s exceptional initiative to reduce the suffering of service recipients is being appreciated among the locals. Traditionally, ordinary people need permission to enter the OC’s room at a police station. It is not common to see villagers going directly to the police officer’s room and talking to him. But the exception is Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station. Service recipients can always enter there as long as the OC is there. It is known that OC Rais Uddin joined Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station on November 12, 2024. Since then, he has been taking various service initiatives along with maintaining law and order. These include strengthening CCTV camera activities and monitoring in the area, initiatives to quickly resolve various complaints from the locals, etc. Shahnaz Begum, who came to Sadar Model Police Station to seek legal services, said, “When I arrived at the police station, I went into the OC’s room and talked to him. When I called him sir, he politely said, ‘No, call me brother.'” I liked the matter very much. The current OC is humble and sincere. Sumon, a resident of Shajahanpur Union in Sadar Upazila, said, “I like one thing very much. The OC himself called me into his room and talked to me as a brother. He helped me file a GD. I want such an officer.” I am happy that a person like me can talk openly with the OC. Abdul Latib of Alinagar area said, “As an employee of the republic, OC of Sadar Model Police Station Rais Uddin has presented himself to the service of the common people. He is directly listening to complaints in the citizen service.” Legal aid is also verifying the truth of the incident. People from all walks of life are impressed by the immediate service he provides. The OC’s uninterrupted service has already had a huge impact on the entire Chapainawabganj district. A service candidate said, “Once upon a time, the violence of brokers at the police station was noticeable. After the new OC Rais Uddin joined, the police station is broker-free. Due to such initiatives, he has already gained wide recognition on social media and the media.” Besides, local public representatives and service recipients are very happy with the OC’s activities in providing various complaints and legal assistance to helpless women.
