After the body of college student Sujana was recovered from Purbachal Lake in Rupganj, Narayanganj, the body of another teenager named Shahinur Rahman Kabyo (16) has been recovered.

His body was recovered from under the bridge in Sector 2 of Purbachal Lake on Wednesday (December 18) morning with the help of fire service divers and police.

The deceased, Shahinur Rashid, was the son of Harunur Rashid of Kachukhet Bou Bazar area of ​​Kafrul police station. He was a class 10 student of Adamjee Cantonment School and College in the capital.

Confirming the matter, Assistant Superintendent of Police of Narayanganj Mehedi Islam said, “On Tuesday morning, police recovered the body of a young woman named Sujana from the lake under bridge number 4 in Sector 2 of Purbachal. Later, we learned from the relatives of the young woman that another teenager named Kabyo was missing along with Sujana. The next morning (Wednesday), with the help of the Fire Service diving team, the police recovered the body of Shahin Rashid Kabyo along with the motorcycle from under the water of the lake.”

At a press conference in the afternoon, Narayanganj District Superintendent of Police Pratyush Kumar Majumder said, “Yesterday, the body of a girl was found and today, the body of a boy was found from there. They were two classmates and friends. They had come there for a ride on a motorcycle. We believe that they died due to excessive speeding. Therefore, it seems to be a road accident. It will be possible to say for sure once we get the autopsy report.”

Regarding the injury marks on the body of the deceased Susana, he said, “The injury marks on the neck or various parts of the body do not mean that it was murder. It could also have been due to an accident.”

Earlier, on Tuesday morning, police recovered the body of Sujana from Sector 2 of Purbachal Lake in Rupganj. After recovering her body, the police came to know that Shahinur Rahman Kavya was missing on the motorcycle that was with her. In the search, divers were sent down to the lake and Kavya’s body was found. The deceased Sujana is the daughter of the deceased Abbas Mia of the capital’s Kachukhet area. She was a class 12 student of Bhashantek Government College.
