Funeral journalist leader Ruhul Amin Ghazi was held in CTG
The funeral of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) President Ruhul Amin Ghazi was held in front of the Jamal Khan Press Club in Chittagong on Wednesday (September 25) afternoon.
Former MP Shahjahan Chowdhury, Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Chittagong metropolitan branch, former convenor of Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Chittagong metropolitan branch spoke in the short gathering before the funeral organized by Chittagong Metropolitan Journalist Union CMUJ. Shahadat Hossain, former general secretary of Chittagong Metropolitan BNP Ekramul Karim, convenor of Bangladesh Combined Professional Council Chittagong Zahidul Karim Kochi, veteran journalist Iskandar Ali Chowdhury, former president of CMEEJ Shamsul Haque Hydari.
The speakers in the gathering said that Ruhul Amin Ghazi, the undisputed leader of the journalist society, was a strong voice against fascism. He has always fought for the rights of journalists. Despite being brutally tortured in the jails of the ousted fascist regime, he did not compromise.
