District Udichi President Mostafizur Rahman, women leader Kohinoor Begum, Mrinal Chakraborty of Nari Pragati, Bangladesh Resource Center for Indigenous Knowledge (BARCIC) Netrokona Regional Coordinator Ohidur Rahman and others spoke at the rally. Ahidu Rahman said that not a single child was saved from the hands of a rapist in Magura. At the same time, rape incidents are occurring one after another in different parts of the country. Women and children are in extreme insecurity. This cannot continue. The government must take strict steps to immediately stop rape and ensure the maximum punishment by bringing rapists under the law.
