According to the order of the court in Chapainawabganj, various types of drugs worth about Tk. 5crore have been destroyed. On Monday afternoon, the drugs were destroyed by crushing them with road rollers and burning them in the court area.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Md. Humayun Kabir and Judicial Magistrate Md. Touhiduzzaman supervised the demolition process.

Court Inspector Md. Munirul Islam said that among the drugs destroyed in the settled case and the case under investigation are Yaba 11 thousand 947 pieces, ganja 198 kg 900 grams, phensedyl 1 thousand 365 bottles, heroin 2 kg, open distilled liquor 158 liters 600 ml, distilled liquor 42 bottles, bidi packet(cigarettes) 100 pieces, bidi masala(cigarettes) 180 kg, bidi leaf(cigarettes) 8 kg, opium 49 grams, 420 grams of cocaine, 30 bottles of beer and 126 bottles of foreign liquor. The estimated value of the destroyed drugs is Tk 5 crore.

This large amount of drugs was destroyed according to the instructions for destruction of drugs seized in various cases of Chapainawabganj.
