Nomination papers of 3 people including Dolly Sayantani canceled in Pabna

On the first day of selection of nomination papers, the nomination papers of 3 candidates including singer Dolly Sayantani of Bangladesh Nationalist Movement (BNM) in 3 constituencies of Pabna have been declared cancelled. District Returning Officer and District Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman confirmed this information in the afternoon.
District Returning Officer selected the nomination papers of Pabna-1, 2 and 3 constituencies in the conference room of the DC from Sunday (December 03) morning.
During the election, the nomination papers of all the 7 candidates of Pabna 1 seat have been declared valid.
Those whose nomination papers are considered valid are: Advocate Shamsul Haque Tuku (Awami League), Professor Abu Sayeed (Independent), Sardar Shahjahan (Jatiya Party), Shamsul Haque (National People’s Party), Journalist Parveen Khatun (JSD), Zainal Abedin (Trinamul BNP) and Mukul Hossain (Zaker Party).
Out of the 9 candidates of Pabna-2 constituency, the nomination papers of two candidates have been declared cancelled. BNM candidate music artiste Dolly Sayantani due to credit card defaults, nomination papers of Bara Upazila Awami League senior vice president independent candidate Abdul Aziz Khan due to credit card complications were declared cancelled.
The nomination papers of the remaining 7 candidates in this seat are considered valid: Ahmed Firoz Kabir (Awami League), Khandkar Azizul Haque Arju (Independent), Mehdi Hasan Rubel (Jatiya Party), Azizul Haque (National People’s Party), Sheikh Anisuzzaman (JSD). ), Abul Kalam Azad (Trinamul BNP), Mominul Islam (Bangladesh Tariqat Federation).
Out of 9 candidates of Pabna-3 constituency, the nomination papers of one candidate have been declared cancelled. Independent candidate Rabiul Karim’s nomination paper was declared invalid for not attaching the voter’s name list containing one percent signatures of the total voters.
The nomination papers of the remaining 8 candidates in this seat are considered valid: Alhaj Maqbul Hossain (Awami League), Abdul Hamid Master (Independent), Mir Nadeem Mohammad Dablo (Jatiya Party), Mahbubur Rahman Joy Chowdhury (Bangladesh Supreme Party-BSP), Belal Mollah (National People’s Party), Khairul Alam (Democratic Party), Kamruzzaman Md Hadi (Zaker Party) and Abul Bashar Sheikh (JSD).
