Moulvibazar 250-bed modern hospital, volunteers and social workers have formed a human chain to resolve the shortage of doctors, to activate the malfunctioning equipment of various tests, to improve the quality of outdoor indoor medical services, to stop all syndicates and to clean it up.

On Wednesday (August 30) morning, Moulvibazar Press Club intersection was organized by Moulvibazar district volunteers and social workers. Md. Mohibur Rahman Muhib, Chairman of Sheikh Borhan Uddin (R:) Foundation gave a short speech.

Meanwhile, the police took a position in the press club premises since morning claiming that human chain is not allowed. The human chainers took a position at the intersection next to the press club in the presence of the police. If they wanted to make a human chain there, the police stopped the human chainers saying that no human chain can be made because the school and college are open. and tries to take away the banner. At the end of the human chain, the organizers of the human chain gave a memorandum to the Prime Minister through the Moulvibazar District Commissioner. M Muhibur Rahman Muhib, general secretary of the combined social organization, said that Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital is suffering from many problems including the shortage of doctors. As a result, 25 lakh people of the district are deprived of medical services. Here, 16 doctors are unemployed, many diagnostic machines are broken and there is no trained operator, unsanitary environment inside and outside, poor quality food supply to patients, non-availability of good medicine, various crises and problems in the morgue, syndicate of nurses and employees working in the hospital for various tests. We organized a peaceful human chain program against various irregularities and mismanagement including rising and ill-treatment of patients and their relatives. But when we came to form a human chain, we saw the police blocking us. We do not know the main reason why our peaceful program has been blocked.
