Bail for all accused of MP Belal kidnapping case

Waresat Hossain Belal (Bir pratik), three-time member of parliament elected from Netrakona 5 (Purbadhala) constituency was booked on charges of kidnapping, forging his signature, creating fake Kabinnama, embezzling Tk 2 crore using personal mobile phone and cheating. In this case, 9 activists including Chhatra League and Jubo League have been released on bail.
They were released on bail from Netrakona District Judge Court on Thursday.
The bailees are – University student Nadia Akhtar (26), her younger brother (Purabdhala Government College Branch) Chhatra League General Secretary Taif (20), Upazila Chhatra League President Solaiman Hossain Hasib, Upazila Jubo League Joint Editor Ferdous Alam (42), Vice President Kamruzzaman Ujjal ( 42), college teacher Naderuzzaman Swapan (42), Ratan Pal (32), Chhatra League activist Shah Alim (32) and MP driver Shafiqul Islam (45).
Ferdous Alam, personal assistant of Member of Parliament freedom fighter Waresat Hossain Belal and joint editor of the Upazila Jubo League, told Daily Morning Glory, MP Sir is equal to my father. I have served by his side for a long time. Roshan Hossain Belal, MP’s wife, is also like my mother.
Purbadhala police station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Saiful Islam said that the accused have been released on bail but the case is under investigation.
