Shibpur (Narsingdi) upazila executive officer Jinya Jinnat is immersed in various irregularities and corruption. She was summoned to the district administration office several times and verbally warned after many allegations were raised against him. She has been accused of not attending office regularly, disrespectful behavior with subordinates, misuse of government vehicles, various financial irregularities. Government employees, government party politicians and local public representatives have complained.
Shibpur Upazila Parishad Acting Chairman Taapsee Rabeya said that the upazila executive officer asked her to sign the check page without any resolution. The officer got angry when she refused.
She was not invited to the agricultural fair. After hearing the news, Taapsee said that the local MP was the chief guest but still a he was not present. The upazila chairman was not present too.
The upazila chairman also said that the executive officer is holding the meeting alone without her outside the rules. Due to this, the government party leaders and activists have become extremely dissatisfied with her.
Upazila Awami League president Mahasin Nazir said that the pride of the upazila executive officer is very high. After the death of upazila chairman Harunur Rashid Khan, she no longer cares about anyone.
They are not honored in any meeting including upazila law series meeting. Ended the meeting without giving a chance to speak, he added.
Recently the husband of a UNO met with an accident while using a government vehicle for personal work along with a gunman. Meanwhile, Rubel, the driver of UNO, said that he is living an inhumane life without getting salary allowance for 7 months.
In this regard, two Additional Deputy Commissioners of the district administration said that if the UNO is not in the car, there is no chance of having a gunman in the car. Besides, the Deputy Commissioner must be informed if the UNO goes outside his jurisdiction with the vehicle. UNO’s husband has no chance to go anywhere with UNO’s car and bodyguards.
When asked to the local member of parliament Zahirul Haque Bhuya Mohan, he said, ‘Things are very sad. In the last 15 years, I have not met such a great executive officer like him. The concerned ministry and the district commissioner have been informed about this. Hopefully one of these will be resolved in a short period of time.
