“Quality education” is one of the main goals on the path to sustainable development (SDG 4). And to achieve this goal, quality environment is required. It is necessary to ensure the education, rights and safety of every girl child as well as sons. Srimangal upazila administration is working for that purpose.
Under the guidance of Moulvibazar District Administration and the initiative of Srimangal Upazila Administration, the program of creating a “Girls Corner” for girls in every high school of the Upazila has been taken up. Sanitation materials will be provided in this corner along with rest facilities in case of emergency.
On Wednesday (August 23), Srimangal Upazila Executive Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun inspected the infrastructure development work of “Girls Corner” of Kakia Bazar High School. During this he spoke to the students of the school and advised them to focus on reading and writing. He also planted saplings in the school premises. Upazila Secondary Education Officer Dilip Kumar Vardhan, Upazila Awami League President Ardhendu Kumar Deb, Kakiabazar High School Principal Noman Ahmed Siddiqui and others during the visit. Other teachers were also present.
UNO Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun said, Our children are the craftsmen of our smart Bangladesh. He wished everyone’s cooperation in this journey of Srimangal Upazila administration to form smart citizens.
