A drug dealer named Mozammel Haque (65) was arrested with 3 kg of ganja in a special operation of Moulvibazar District Intelligence Branch (DB).

He was arrested from North Lamua area under Srimangal police station on Friday (August 11) evening.

Based on tip-off, a team of DB Police including SI Tofazzal Hossain, ASI Anwar Hossain arrested the accused with 2 kg of ganja from in front of Renu Member’s car servicing center on the south side of North Lamua Marigold CNG Petrol Pump under Srimangal police station on Friday evening. Later, when the arrested Mozammel Haque was interrogated by the police, he admitted that there were more drugs in the house of the accused. According to the information given by the accused, a total of 3 kg of ganja along with 1 kg was seized from the cowshed of the accused’s house in Mohajirabad village of Ashidron Union under Srimangal police station on Friday (August 11).

The arrested Mozammel Haque is the son of deceased Gofran Mia of Mohazirabad village of Ashidron Union No. 6 of Srimangal Upazila. A case under section 19(a) of table 36 (1) of the Narcotics Control Act of 2018 has been filed against the arrested at Srimangal police station and sent to the learned court.
