Such a tragic incident happened in West Bengal, India. A couple in West Bengal, India sold their eight-month-old son to buy an iPhone 14.

They wanted to buy an iPhone and use it to make videos for Instagram. The police have already arrested the child’s mother. The search is on for the absconding father.

The child’s father’s name is Jaydev Ghosh and mother’s name is Sathi. Their home is in North Twenty Four Parganas district of West Bengal. They have another seven-year-old daughter. An attempt was made to sell him too, police said.

The police rescued the child who was sold. He was found with a woman named Priyanka Ghosh in the same district. He bought the child from the parents. Police also arrested Priyanka Ghosh in this incident.

The police said that the child’s mother confessed to their crime during interrogation. She said her husband wanted to travel to different places in West Bengal to sell the children. While there, they wanted to make a video for Instagram.

The matter was discussed with the couple’s neighbor Lakshmi Kundu. He said that the Jaydev-Sathi couple sold their child for two lakh rupees. With this money, they went to different places including Digha sea beach. Even bought a mobile phone.
