Free eye camp held at Srimangal

A free eye camp was organized at Shrimsangal in Moulvibazar.
On Tuesday (July 18), prominent social worker of Satgaon Bazar of Srimangal Bhunbir Union Bulbul Ahmed and his two expatriate sons Borhan Ahmed and Raihan Ahmed distributed free eye surgery and medical glasses to about 500 people.
Out of this more than hundred patients were admitted to Moulvibazar Matarkapan BNSB Eye Hospital for free eye surgery.
Program Manager Aminur Rahman and Senior Project Officer Nurul Alam Siddiqui of donor organization Fred Hollows Foundation visited the free eye treatment camp organized by Marigold KG School under the management of Satgaon Eye Camp Committee. Medical officer Dr. Matarkapan was present on behalf of BNSB eye hospital. Syed Jisan Ahmed, Refractionist Abdul Mannan, Public Relations Officer Dewan Ruhul Amin Chowdhury, Optometrist Abdul Baten Talukder and 12 members of the medical team.
About 500 patients were provided free prescriptions and eye glasses in the eye camp which lasted from 9 am to 4 pm.
Also hundreds of rescued patients were sent to BNSB Eye Hospital for eye surgery.
Satgaon eye camp committee president Md. Yusuf Ali, editor. Akbar Ali, Director of Marigold KG School Jamal Ahmed, Mr. Syed Inteshar Ahmed. Also present were former UP Chairman of Bhunbir Union Dr. Abul Bashar and dignitaries of the area.
