Last year, there was a record of death and hospital admission due to dengue in one day in the country. Seven people died in the last 24 hours (from 8 am on Monday to 8 am on Tuesday). During this time, 1 thousand 54 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue fever. This year, the death toll from dengue stood at 83.

The Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health gave this information in a circular on Tuesday.

It is said that in 24 hours, 628 people were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka due to dengue. 426 people have been admitted to different hospitals outside Dhaka.

The circular also said that currently 3 thousand 303 dengue patients are under treatment in various public and private hospitals of the country. There are currently 2,306 dengue patients in 53 public and private hospitals in Dhaka and 997 dengue patients in other hospitals.

This year, 14 thousand 897 patients have been admitted to hospital and received treatment due to dengue. Among them, 10 thousand 292 people received treatment in Dhaka and 4 thousand 605 people outside Dhaka. Among them, 11 thousand 511 people have returned home after recovery. Among them 7 thousand 921 residents of Dhaka and 3 thousand 590 people outside Dhaka.
