Chatak Upazila Secondary Education Officer Pulin Chandra Roy has been selected as the best upazila secondary education officer of Sylhet Division on the occasion of National Education Week – 2023. He was elected the best upazila secondary education officer in Sylhet district in 2016 and Sunamganj district in 2019 and 2022. The matter was informed in a letter jointly signed by the convener and member secretary of the Sylhet Divisional Committee on Sunday, May 28, National Education Week – 2023.

It is known that on the occasion of National Education Week, Pulin Chandra Roy has been selected as the best education officer of Sylhet division after competitive scrutiny among upazila secondary education officers of 4 districts of Sylhet division. Pulin Roy, the country’s prominent poet and editor of Little Magazine, has published seven books so far. Of these, four are poems and three are prose.

Well-known literary organizer Pulin Roy is president of Sylhet Sahitya Parishad, Amiya Sahitya Parishad and Lokcharya, Sylhet. For thirty-three years since 1990, Pulin Roy has been editing the famous Bengali language little magazine ‘Bhaskar’. All the honors/awards that Puleen Roy has already received are: Rajshahi University’s ‘Chihn Award’ (2011), ‘Utsa Sukhari Award’, Dhaka (2015), ‘Samujjbal Subatas Award’, Bandarban (2017) ‘Makunda Sahitya Padak’, Sylhet (2019) and ‘Chorus Sahitya Sammanna’ Moulvibazar (2019), Samadhara Sammanna (2019), ‘Swapn Katha’ Kolkata (2023). He was the president of Sunamkantha Sahitya Parishad and founding director of Kantha Sahitya for a long time.
Poet Pulin Roy has been working as a secondary education officer since 1994 as a first class official of the government.
