President Vladimir Putin has confirmed that Russia has targeted the headquarters of the GUR, the main intelligence service of Ukraine’s military, in Kiev.
“We were discussing the possibility of hitting the decision-making centers,” Putin said on Tuesday. Naturally, Ukraine’s military intelligence headquarters is on the list and was hit two to three days ago.
The Russian president also admitted that a Ukrainian drone strike had taken place in Moscow. The attack happened that morning.
Russia’s president says the Moscow attack is aimed at ‘terrorizing’ his country’s citizens; Which is a “clear example of terrorist activity” in Kiev.
According to the Russian media RT, Putin claimed that although Ukraine targeted “residential buildings” in Russia, Moscow was only hitting military installations such as arsenals and fuel depots with “sophisticated weapons capable of hitting the target accurately”.
Putin said that while Moscow’s air defenses had resisted the latest attack in Ukraine, there was still room for improvement.
