While visiting Bakhtarmunsi Islamia Fazil Madrasa center of Feni Sonagazi Upazila during the SSC and equivalent examination, Jatiya Party Member of Parliament of Feni-3 (Sonagazi-Dagonbhuana) Constituency made a live broadcast on Facebook. General (Retd.) Masud Uddin Chowdhury’s Personal Assistant Shahadat Hossain Bhuiyan. Later, when criticism started on the matter, he deleted the video from his ID.

His personal assistant Shahadat Hossain Bhuiyan went live from his Facebook ID for about 14 minutes when the parliamentarian went to visit the center with the administration officials at around 11:00 on Sunday.

During the visit to the center, the member of parliament was accompanied by Feni Local Government Department Deputy Director (DDLG) Golam Mohammad Baten, Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Kamrul Hasan, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Aneek Chowdhury, Central Secretary Maulana Afsar Uddin Faruqi, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Nurul Amin, Assistant Primary Education Officer Saiful Islam, Member of Parliament Public Relations Officer (PRO) Omar Farooq Mostafiz.

In this regard, Shahadat Hossain Bhuiyan, the personal assistant of the member of parliament, told the media, “It is not a serious matter.” The video went live by mistake. It is requested to look at the matter with a forgiving eye.

UNO Kamrul Hasan said that he had heard about doing live video in the examination center. The matter has been reported to the Member of Parliament. He does not know why his personal assistant did this. It has been warned not to do such thing in future.

Upazila education officer Nurul Amin said that as a local member of parliament, he can visit the examination center room. However, entering the examination center in groups is not covered by the rules. Because it causes problems in the students’ attention.

As per the rules, no one can enter the center except the persons concerned for the examination. There are also restrictions on taking mobile phones. Only the Union Secretary can carry a standard (non-photo) mobile phone. No one else is allowed to enter the center with their cell phones.
