Superintendent of Police announced zero tolerance against drugs and gambling in Habiganj district. Over a hundred drug dealers along with their vehicles have been arrested from various areas of the district in the last one month. Drugs worth Rs 2 crore have been seized from them. On the orders of Superintendent of Police SM Murad Ali, DB OC Safiqul Islam conducted raids in various drug spots including Shaistaganj, Madhavpur, Chunarughat, Bahubal, Nabiganj and seized drug-laden trucks, NOHAs, pickups, and CNG vehicles. Apart from this, several influential drug dealers including Abdal Mia, Syed Ali, Hannan were arrested. A case against them was sent to the court.

OC said that the campaign against drugs and gambling will continue regularly. No one will be exempted. Police is trying to eliminate drugs from the district.
