Moulvibazar District Commissioner Mir Nahid Ahsan participated in the distribution of iftar among the month-long pedestrian fasting organized by the upazila administration in Srimangal of Moulvibazar.

On Friday afternoon, Deputy Commissioner Mir Nahid Ahsan distributed Iftar among about 200 fasting pedestrians in the initiative of Srimangal Upazila administration. Srimangal Upazila Executive Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun and others were present.

Moulvibazar District Commissioner Mir Nahid Ahsan attended Srimangal on the eve of joining the new workplace and participated in the distribution of this Iftar by the upazila administration. Meanwhile, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner of Moulvibazar Mir Nahid Ahsan said that this is a unique initiative of the upazila administration Srimangal. I applaud this activity of handing out some Iftar among the common passers-by. It is not difficult to continue this activity for a month with the full cooperation of the people of Srimangal. Especially during the holy month of Ramadan, distribution of Iftar among the fasting pedestrians is a pious act.

It is to be noted that on the first day of Ramadan, the plan of ‘giving some Iftar to the pedestrians’ was immediately accepted by the Executive Officer of Srimangal Upazila, Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun. Earlier, in this program of upazila administration, iftar was distributed among the pedestrians by Moulvibazar-4 Member of Parliament. Md. Abdus Shahid, Upazila Parishad Chairman Bhanu Lal Roy etc.
