A pilot project to provide specialist medical care at Srimangal Upazila Health Complex in Moulvibazar has been inaugurated.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zaheed Malek MP inaugurated it through a video conference on Thursday (March 30) at 3 pm.

Srimangal Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Chaired by Sajjad Hossain Chowdhury and MODC Dr. Dr. Moulvibazar district civil surgeon was present at the opening ceremony conducted by Partha Sarthi Singh. Chowdhury Jalal Uddin Morshed, Srimangal Upazila Parishad Chairman Bhanulal Roy, Srimangal Upazila Executive Officer Ali Rajeev Mahmud Mithun.
Hospital consultants, medical officers, senior staff nurses and other office staff were also present in the event. Dr. Sajjad Hossain Chowdhury said in a video conference, Health and Family Welfare Minister Jahed Malek MP said that one of the goals of the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s dream of building a smart Bangladesh in 2041 is to bring medical services to the doorsteps of the people. The minister also called on all the employees and officials engaged in medical services to work together to achieve that goal.

Srimangal Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Sajjad Hossain Chowdhury said – this service will be open 2 days a week (Sunday and Wednesday) from 3 pm to 6 pm. Lab facilities will also be operational during this time.
