Free chemical fertilizers and rice seeds have been distributed among marginal farmers in Srimangal of Moulvibazar district.

On Wednesday (March 29) in the morning of Srimangal Upazila Parishad, the Upazila Agriculture Rehabilitation and Implementation Committee organized the distribution of free seeds and chemical fertilizers among the small and marginal farmers in the Kharif-1/2023-24 season during the fiscal year 2022-2023. Moulvibazar-4 Constituency Member of Parliament, Dr. Md. Abdus Shaheed.

Presided over by Srimangal Upazila Executive Officer Ali Rajeev Mahmud Mithun, Srimangal Upazila Parishad Chairman Bhanulal Roy, Vice Chairman Haji Liton Ahmed, Female Vice Chairman Mitali Dutta, Upazila Awami League President Ardhendu Kumar Deb, Srimangal Upazila Agriculture Officer Mohiuddin, Bhunbir were present as special guests in the ceremony. Union Chairman Abdur Rashid Mirzapur Union Chairman Michlu Ahmed Chowdhury, Srimangal Upazila Jubo League Organizing Secretary Abu Taleb Badsha, Upazila Fisheries League President Ashikur Rahman Ashiq. Beneficiary farmers were also present in the ceremony. Around 3800 farmers of the upazila were distributed free rice seeds and chemical fertilizers.
