Member of inter-district thief gang arrested with stolen motorcycle in Srimangal

In a special operation of Srimangal police station of Moulvibazar, active members of inter-district smuggling along with stolen motorcycles were arrested.
On Saturday (March 25) early night, a police team led by Srimangal Police Inspector (Investigation) Md. Aminul Islam received a tip-off and conducted a raid with the help of information technology. Shukur, an active member of an inter-district motorcycle theft gang, along with a 100cc motorcycle from Birgaon area of Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria district. Mia is arrested. The arrested Shukur is the son of Achmat Ali of Birgaon village of Nabinagar upazila of Brakshanbaria district. He is known to locals as an active member of an inter-district gang. When Shukkur Mia was interrogated after the arrest, according to the information given by him, the police searched his house and recovered two more stolen motorcycles.
According to Srimangal police station, a 100cc Hero Honda was stolen from the house of a person named Tanveer Ahmed in Biraimpur area of Srimangal Suburban College Road at 8:20 PM on March 20. When a case was filed at Srimangal Thana regarding the theft, the Srimangal Thana Police managed to arrest the member of the inter-district thief gang from Nabinagar Upazila of Brahmanbaria district through extensive investigation and with the help of information technology. Meanwhile, the police recovered 3 stolen motorcycles.
